New
Ownership
- In November of 2008 the owner of Three Bars
and Texas Saddlery died and the heirs put the company up for
sale.
- I purchased the Company in 2009 and
moved the Heaadquarters to El Paso, Texas and have resumed making Three
Bars Saddles.

- With over 70 years in
the Saddle and Tack industry Three Bars Saddlery provided Quality Riding
Equipment at an
- affordable price with
you, the horse rider in mind. They started making custom hand made
saddles in 1936 as a hobby
- and a way to make some
extra money. As time went on, the hobby turned into a saddle making
business with over 100
- saddle makers working
for him making 114 different styles of saddles. Over the years he found that
many people could not
- afford custom hand made
saddles and were looking for a saddle that they could use everyday at an
affordable price.
- So Three Bar Saddlery
was born. He prided himself on the saddles he manufactured and the affordable
prices he strived to
- maintain.
With the flood of imported saddles and a slow
down in retailers, dealers and stores he cut back on production
- and manufactured saddles on a limited basis from
2001 but
would custom make any of the saddle styles he had made
- previously. As the economy weakened and imported
saddles increased he found he had to cut back on keeping as large
- an inventory as he used to. He still made
saddles daily, based on what he thought he could sell to his many stores and
dealers
- but limited them to the most popular styles. In
January of 2007 he purchased
the name of Texas Saddlery when they closed their
- operations in Bastrop. Texas,
and as he had been making saddles for them for years and putting their name
brand on them he also
- began selling saddles under the
Texas Saddlery name as well as still to making Three Bars Saddlery
saddles.
- You can find our new saddles in many stores throughout the
United States and our used saddles
-
- on the web on Craig's List, E-Bay and other sites selling used tack and
saddles.
-
